About the course
These are not normal times—and yet, we continue to show up, to care for others, and to try to stay well ourselves. This course is an invitation to pause. Together, we’ll explore how ongoing stress, change, and collective challenges affect our nervous systems—and how we can respond with awareness, compassion, and practical strategies for well-being. You’ll move through a series of short modules, each designed to help you understand what’s happening inside and around you, recognize when you’re reaching your limits, and learn ways to restore balance and resilience. Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to reflect, try new practices, and consider what “being well” looks like for you right now. Upon completion of the course, you may receive a certification of completion for 3 contact hours, CEU-applicable for most professions.
Your instructor for this course
Andrea Dalton, MA, MT-BC, Certified Leadership Coach, Certified Mindfulness-Informed Professional Andrea Dalton worked for nearly 12 years as a board-certified music therapist, primarily in inpatient mental health units in the Kansas City area. She took on the unique opportunity as a trauma informed care consultant in 2016, building on her undying fascination with the way the brain works, a critical appreciation for research, her creative spirit, and a strong commitment to make the world a better place for all people. Andrea currently works as the director of the Center for Trauma Informed Innovation at University Health, developing trauma-informed, culturally-responsive programs, practices, and policies in partnership with schools, healthcare providers, social service agencies, and organizations in the business sector across the country.
